Stats Don't Lie

I'm going to drop some knowledge on your noggins from time to time. Why? Well, so you can have something to impress your friends, neighbors, and people you stalk, of course!

The US Census Bureau keeps track of many interesting statistics, a number of them surrounding marriage. Here's a taste:

Average Age for First Marriage:
Year - Men - Women
2003 27.1 25.3
1983 25.4 22.8
1977 24.0 21.6
1890 26.1 22.0

I can' t tell if this means anything or not. Probably not. My one guess is that people will start waiting until they're in their 30s or 40s to get married. Maybe someday people will wait until their late 70s to settle down. Only time will tell.
